While there are very few true emergencies with orthodontic treatment, some irritations or loose appliances may occur throughout treatment. Please see the illustration below for help on how to handle some of the more common issues that come up with braces. While we try to see you as soon as possible, most issues (broken brackets, missing color ties, etc.) are able to go a few days or even longer without affecting treatment. If you are experiencing significant discomfort or pain, please do not hesitate to contact the office. For after hour emergencies that cannot wait until office hours, please email wurmortho@securedds.com. If able, send a picture to help us advise you on how to resolve the issue.
